Friendship bracelets [Rainbow slide]

Use four colors of string - two strands of each color, each about one yard in length.

1. Start by making the overhand knot and installing the string on your clipboard - arrange the strings with matching colors next to each other.

2. For this project the two strings of the same color will be used together as if they're one string.

3. Start with the first two strings on the right and use them together to do the basic knot around all the other strings held together as a group. Pull the knot tight. Repeat these knots until you have a single color slide about one inch long.

4. Then use the next pair of strings to knot around all the others for an inch length also. Continue this way until your bracelet is as long as you wish. End your bracelet as usual with the overhand knot.
